I have a Armada with k miles on it an am considering replacing the radiator with an aftermarket one just to ensure I don't experience.

FACT! Nissan is the third in the Japanese automakers' rating (after Toyota and Honda) and the 8th in the world rating. The most popular car is Nissan Qashqai. The name "Qashqai" is taken from the name of the tribe living in Iran.

A month or so ago the radiator cracked on my 04 Armada. The only other thread on radiator replacement I found online the radiator had.

I won't go through the nitty gritty of the install steps as the existing posts on there have more than covered them and covered them well.

I will point out a couple things I ran into. First for some reason during disassembly I noticed that the passenger side post on my AC condensor was not actually being secured by the upper mount on the radiator.

After putting i the CSF unit it sits the same way so I'm not terribly worried about it but it is weird. Next my external trans cooler did not fit into my CSF unit. It slid into the brackets on the stock unit and the holes lined up perfectly for the bolts but on the CSF unit I got when the cooler was fully seated in the lower bracket on the CSF unit the bolt holes were too high.

I took care of this by grinding back on the cooler's lower mounting bracked to make it sit futher down which brought the upper mounting holes were they should have been. First I'd heard or seen that so thought I'd share. While I had the radiator out I took the time to replace all the transmission cooler lines from the front end of the hard line under the truck and just behind the radiator as well as the upper and lower radiator hoses and the expansion tank hoses.

I decided to ditch the factory pinch hose clamps which I despise on several levels and went with standard worm drive hose clamps at all points. I ended up using just under 5 ft of hose to do all the different lines. I just recently had replaced by serpentine belt so didn't need to do any work there although if you haven't dont it yet and are going to replace the radiator its the PERFECT time to do this.

Enough blabbering from me. Here's some pics of my install. Any questions please ask em. Last 5 pics including some of the truck in its current state. Took it for a nice car wash after the install.

An FYI for the rest of you guys, in case you're wondering how much to buy. Has anyone had to cut the fan shroud so it fits closer to the radiator? I just installed one in my Under normal driving and even heavy footed driving the fan did not rub.

When the engine was under heavy torque the fan blade would rub in the front of the shroud, not the sides like you would expect it to with a bad motor mount.

The fan blade actually broke and got thrown it into the radiator, ruining it. I had just replaced the fan clutch with a factory Nissan one at the same time as the radiator install. I thought I read somewhere that someone had to cut the shroud. I didnt because at the time it wasnt hitting anything. Originally Posted by damanmrt. This is based on the pin bolts that go in on the top and the bottom pins that fit into the radiator support.
